RUDEBOY

Rudeboy is a term used for a subculture that originated from 1960s Jamaican street culture. In the late 1970s, there was a revival in England from fans of both two tone and ska music. This revival was partially through the Caribbean immigration to the uk and the so called wind rush generation. Through the result of many social platforms as TikTok and Pinterest, the subculture is gaining new popularity among younger generations looking to appreciate this wave. This editorial is meant to celebrate the dichotomy of both the Caribbean and British experience.
